Starlight International Media Group, the company
responsible for the historical epic "White Vengeance",
has announced that the film will be released on November 29,
marking the start of the hypercompetitive New Year Holiday
slot for the Chinese film market.
Blockbusters such as Zhang Yimou's "The Flowers of
War", Tsui Hark's "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate in 3D" and
"Great Magician" under Derek Yee's direction will all hit
cinema screens during this lucrative time slot.
Directed by Daniel Lee, "White Vengeance" boasts a star-
studded cast including Leo Lai, Zhang Hanyu, Feng Shofeng,
Anthony
Wong, Gordon Chan and Andy On. Aside from
the seven leading actors, a host of veteran and up-and-
coming stars are also on hand, with few productions able to
match such a strong lineup during the New Year Holiday slot.
The film is set towards the end of the Qin Dynasty, at a time
when Xiang Yu (portrayed by Feng
Shaofeng) and Liu Bang (portrayed by
Leon Lai) both had ambitions of conquering the country and
becoming king.
